چکیده

Exact reflection and transmission coefficients for supersymmetric shapeinvariant potentials barriers are calculated by an analytical continuation of the asymptotic wave functions obtained via the introduction of new generalized ladder operators. The general form of the wave function is obtained by the use of the F(−∞,+∞)-matrix formalism of Fröman and Fröman which is related to the evolution of asymptotic wave function coefficients. Is the Lowest Order Supersymmetric WKB Approximation Exact for All Shape Invariant Potentials ?

It has previously been proved that the lowest order supersymmetric WKB approximation reproduces the exact bound state spectrum of shape invariant potentials. We show that this is not true for a new, recently discovered class of shape invariant potentials and analyse the reasons underlying this breakdown of the usual proof. 1 Institute of Physics, Sachivalaya Marg, Bhubaneswar 751005,India.

Shape - invariant potentials and an associated coherent state

An algebraic treatment of shape-invariant potentials in supersymmetric quantum mechanics is discussed. By introducing an operator which reparametrizes wave functions, the shape-invariance condition can be related to a oscillator-like algebra. It makes possible to define a coherent state associated with the shape-invariant potentials. For a large class of such potentials, it is shown that the in...

The usual concept of shape invariance is discussed and one extension of this concept is suggested. Gedenshtein [1] defined the “shape invariant” potentials by the relationship V+(x; a0)− V−(x; a1) = W (x, a0) +W ′(x, a0)−W (x; a1) +W ′(x; a1) = R(a1) (1) where W (x; a) is the superpotential, a0 and a1 stand for parameters of the supersymmetric partner potentials V+ and V−, R(a) is a constant. Ladder operators can be constructed for all potentials that present the integrability condition known as shape invariance, satisfied by most of the exactly solvable potentials. Using the superalgebra of supersymmetric quantum mechanics we construct the ladder operators for two exactly solvable potentials that present a subtle hidden shape invariance.
